Class Levels

Below we have provided a breakdown of our levels to assist our clients in finding the best class for them in which they can safely grow and thrive. We find that it is always better to start more basic, and then work up to more advanced classes. We respect our adult dancers and want to challenge them in every single class, regardless of level.

101: 101 level classes are perfect for those who are completely brand new to dance and want a nice, slow intro to the vocabulary, technique, and proper alignment. Please note that the class will still be challenging.

Beginner: Beginner level classes are designed for those with a basic knowledge of dance, but are still new to the art form and its terminology. This level takes the information from 101 classes and begins to string steps together. This is also a good "back to basics" class for more trained dancers, but we kindly ask that the beginner level/dancers are still respected.

Intermediate: Intermediate level classes are structured for those who have been taking classes for several years and/or have danced at an intermediate level in the past. It is generally recommended that if you're returning to dance after a long hiatus that you start with a few beginner classes to get back into it without injury.

Advanced: Advanced level classes are designed for those with 7+ years of experience in the specified style. These classes move quickly and require knowledge of musicality, technique, spatial awareness, vocabulary, and artistry.

All Levels: Our "all level" classes are generally master classes or pop-up classes. These are usually geared towards the intermediate/advanced level, but beginners can get a lot out of the class too.
